The Players are:

  • Clive Gray (Lead Guitar):  Clive Gray learnt his first chords from his grandmother at the age of 9, but soon followed (and saw live) his teenage idols: Jimi Hendrix, Jimmi Page, Rory Gallagher, and Eric Clapton. After studying music in Germany, he played with Carolyne Mas ('sittin' in the dark') Johny Tame ('Sand in my shoes'), and produced various bands such as Carolyne Mas, The Brandos, Dave Goodman etc. Moving from music producer to film producer, he stopped playing professionally. Now working for a charity in the UK, 'Dark Horse' is where he can be loud again under the motto: If we're too loud, you're too old.
  • Fredrik Vislander  (Lead Guitar):After playing the guitar as a hobby Fred went on to study music in Stockholm for 3 years. He worked as a freelance guitarist for 2 years, playing behind other artists and in different coverbands. Fred is a very talented session musician equally at home on the electric and bass guitar. Fred played with a number of Swedish bands before moving to the England and joining Dark Horse.
  • Valentin Gerlier (Vocals, Guitar):

    Valentin Gerlier Belgian-born son of a painter and dancer who now lives in London where he supports a nascent musical career with part-time work. Singer, songwriter and guitarist, he's performed extensively on the Jazz and Latin scene throughout Europe with a wide range of music from Bossa Nova to Chanson Francaise. He's worked with Italian producer Filippo Gaetani, Cuban singer and bass player Leo Duany (Sonora La Calle, Mambochambo), and also with the beautiful latin jazz violinist Gabriel Fonseca (Mercedes Sosa). He is in the process of recording his second
    album.
  • Nigel Crosthwaite (Drums):Nigel started his life in jazz bands which is where he gets his funky synchopated rhythm from. Performing in various function bands for over 30 years including Southern Blues and more recently in The Go Bananas, Nigel has seen it all and got the t-shirt.
  • Andy Moyler (Rhythm Guitar):Surrounded by a sea of talent and experience Andy is the 'rookie' of the group, however he tries to make up for his lack of experience with enthusiasm and dedication. He also looks after the management and administration of this outfit...well someone has to do it!
  • Danny Merriman (Bass Guitar): Danny fuses together a unique mixture of rock blues and funk in a way that separates him from Mr. average-Joe bass player and puts him in league with the elite few. Heavily influenced by level 42s mark king, Danny started playing in his hometown Nottingham with local reggae and funk bands –Juice (‘real love’) the groove foundation (‘sooner or later’) and began to develop his awesome bass thump style, Similar to the likes of Stanley Clarke, Marcus miller and of course mark king. Was a founder member of notts Christian rock band Freakshow(‘superhero’) And after years of playing the circuit Danny has become a popular sought after and respected bass player. Recent bands he has played with are the level 42ers (‘level 42 tribute band’) and the Feel, Bognor regis based respected rock band.
  • Chaz Collett (Bass Guitar): Chaz has played with many bands over the years including 'The Go Bananas' where he Nigel provided an excellent Rhythm section. Chaz also manages the Petersfield Comedy Club in his spare time.
